IMPORTANT NEW EXPORT REGULATION CHANGE

In the last 2 years many changes have occurred in the laws governing international trade, to ensure the security and safety of imports and exports. Our
traffic department has diligently kept up to speed with the new laws and regulations required in the exportation process.
It is important that we share some of these new laws and regulations with you since they directly affect you, our valuable customer.

Beginning April 1, 2004, a new Federal Government mandate, known as The Trade Act of 2002, will require freight forwarders to submit complete information concerning each shipment, i.e. weight, volume, consignee, etc. to customs 24 hours prior
to vessel departure.

As a result of this new "24 hour rule", and in order to meet new "cargo deadlines" freight forwarders require that we submit the documentation pertaining to each shipment 48 hours before
vessel departure.

To ensure a smooth transition of these new laws we will implement the change starting February 1st, 2004.
In order for us to comply with the new laws of the U.S. government, and in an effort to continue servicing you to the best of our ability, it is necessary that you fax or e-mail us your order
one week prior to vessel departure. This will allow us to process your order in a timely manner and supply the freight forwarder with the required documents within the specified time, as well as meet the cargo cut-off without the risk of missing the sailing.
